Our Partner Organizations: Mefmi
IDM and Macroeconomic and Financial Management Institute of
Eastern and Southern Africa (Mefmi) signed a partnership agreement that commenced in
June 1999. Under this agreement, Mefmi was licensed to offer a wide range
of capacity building services to its member countries on the use and applications of the Debt-Pro software.
Mefmi member states include the following:
Angola, Botswana, Lesotho, Malawi, Namibia, Swaziland, Tanzania,
Uganda, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
Five of the ten Mefmi member states are already current users of
the Debt-Pro software. The first regional Debt-Pro training workshop was held by Mefmi, jointly
with DRI, in Lusaka Zambia, in March 2001. A second workshop specializing on
training the regional experts, was held in Lilongwe Malawi, in June 2001. This
second workshop was funded and organized jointly by DRI and Mefmi. IDM attended
the first half of the "Training of the Trainers" workshop.
Below are some moments captured during the June 2001 joint DRI/Mefmi
